I’m a native German speaker from Southern Germany who moved to the U.S. after earning my B.S. in Education at LMU Munich, and I’ve lived bilingually ever since. That daily immersion in two languages and cultures has shaped my ability to translate confidently in both directions.

I love polishing texts, solving complex language puzzles, and finding the exact phrasing that makes a piece shine, while bringing full focus, care, and craft to every project I take on.

I joined the Regional Team of SCBWI CA: San Francisco South as the brand‑new Translator Coordinator at the beginning of 2026, and I’ve already planned and organized a two‑day conference. What a ride! You can read all about that and more in The Official SCBWI Blog.

I will be hosting a translation‑focused webinar in July. Organizing and offering a translator‑centered webinar this year was one of my goals when I onboarded, and I’m thrilled to see it coming to life. There’s a real sense of momentum in stepping into this role, watching the work take shape, and helping kidlit translators all around the world gain more visibility.
